Jake
Howard is a former Wallaby who has the distinction of having been assistant
to 3 former Australian coaches - Bob Templeton, Bob Dwyer and Rod MacQueen.
He has coached at school level while a teacher at the Southport School
on the Gold Coast and coached Queensland University to two premierships
in the first grade competition.
Jake has also coached in Japan where over two years he took World Company
from near the bottom of the table to the finals.
Pat Howard, Jake’s son, has also played rugby for Australia and
for the Brumbies in the Super 12 competition.
A specialist forwards’ coach, Jake’s view is that “low
body height” is the only true religion! He is recognised as one
of the finest coaches of forwards in the world!
