Q05: How long does it take for my product to arrive?

Q06(a): Can I network DigiSport CD-ROM products?
A: No. DigiSport CD-ROM products will not operate on a network. They are licensed to individual machines as single licence products. If you have a number of prospective users within your school or club we will negotiate on volume purchases, but each user still has to have a licensed copy of the product.  if the software was "networkable", like other such software, it would be priced according to the the number of users on the network.

Q06(b):  Can Digisport Software be installed on a computer connected to a network

A: Yes but unless the USER has been given "rights to install" software, the network administrator needs to perform the installation.
The installation process records the name of the "user" (the administrator in most cases as he/she is usually the only one with the rights to install applications). Each time the program is subsequently opened it checks the name of the user so that if someone other than the opens the program, it will shut down. The way to get around this is to give the person who wants to use the program temporary installation rights, install the program with that teacher as the "user" and once installed, remove that person's installation rights - if desired.
Some network administrators have created a dummy user so that anyone logging in as the dummy user can access and use the program.

Q07: I have successfully loaded my CD-ROM product and have been using it, but it now locks me out. Why?
A: You need to register the program to your computer. This can be done online or by fax. The software allows you a period of grace when you first load it, but it will lock you out when this period expires unless you send us your serial number and contact details to register the product with DigiSport and we send you a registration number in return. The serial number and the registration number are different.

Q08: What happens if I buy myself a new computer? Can I transfer the product?
A: Yes, but you need to re-register your product on the new computer and obtain a new registration number. You're allowed up to three registrations for this purpose.

Q09: I have installed my Digisport software for the second time and when entering the Registration Code that I was originally provided with the program tells me that the code is invalid. After entering the code a number of times the program has now shut down and will not open. Help!
A: In order to register your Digisport product on an additional (or new) computer , you MUST request an additional REGISTRATION NUMBER by going through the registration process on that computer.

Registration may be requested either by web email or by fax - simply follow the instructions after installing the program and clicking the GET REGISTRATION button on the relevant registration page.

A reminder that the Registered User ( the person registering the product for the first time) will only ever be provided with 3 registration codes corresponding to the Serial Number of the copy of the product.

If the program has already shut down as a result of making 3 'incorrect' registration entries, proceed as follows:

1 Delete the DigiNetball V1.1 folder from the 'Programs' folder on your C Drive and delete the shortcut on your desktop.

2 Re-install the software from the installer disk.

3 Go through the Registration Request process again (either email of fax).

4 Once you receive your new registration code enter the code carefully after clicking the 'ENTER REGISTRATION' button.

If it has not shut down, go straight to step 3

Q10: One or more of my Digi disks are damaged. Can I get a replacement?
A: When the software is shipped from this office the disks are thoroughly checked. If your disk has a crack emanating from the centre hole invariably this has been caused by forcibly removing the disk from the protective plastic case without pressing the centre release tab.

Digisport takes no responsibility for the physical damage to any of the disks supplied with its software.

Replacement disks are available and may be purchased through the Digisport web store. Cost for a replacement disk is $25 + postage.  Click here  to go to the relevant web page

NB. No new Serial Number will be provided if replacing an installer disk. Please use the Serial Number that came with the original product.

Q11: Can I simply contact Digisport and ask for a Registration Code?
A: When the software is shipped from this office the disks are thoroughly checked. If your disk has a crack emanating from the centre hole invariably this has been caused by forcibly removing the disk from the protective plastic case without pressing the centre release tab.

The request for a registration code (Installation Key) MUST be made using the process built into the program, If you are not connected to the internet, choose the FAX method and send the completed form by fax through to Digisport Registrations. The Registration Code will then be faxed back to you.

Q12: Do I have to be connected to the Internet to receive a Registration Code for my Digisport software?
A: No. If you are not connected to the internet, choose the FAX method after clicking the "GET REGISTRATION" button and send the completed form by fax through to Digisport Registrations using the number that appears on the printed form. The Registration Code will then be faxed back to you or emailed to a provided email address if you prefer.

Q13: I failed to request a Registration Code within the 21 day pre-registration period and the program has now shut down. What do I do now?
A: You must now un-install the program and then reinstall it from the installer CD. For security purposes a registration process has been built into the program.

    Proceed as follows:

1 Delete the "Digi" folder from the 'Programs' folder on your C Drive and delete the shortcut on your desktop. You can use the "Uninstaller" to do this if you have a PC. Go to START / Programs / Digi ............ / Uninstall Digi..........

2 Re-install the software from the installer disk.

3 Click on the 'GET REGISTRATION' button on the appropriate registration page and follow the instructions. Digisport will return email (or fax) your registration code that is necessary to unlock the program

4 If you have already received a registration code in the meantime, wait 24 hours, make sure your computer is connected to the net and then ACCURATELY enter the Registration number previously supplied.

If this does not work you will need to call Digisport registrations on the number given below at a time convenient to both parties.

Q14: What happens if and when I use up my entitlements to 3 installations?
A: Digisport software comes with a SINGLE USER LICENCE which initially entitles the Registered Licence Owner to a maximum of 3 permitted registration codes (3 installations) for the product purchased.

This permits the Registered Licence Owner to install and register the software up to three times, such as onto a supplementary machine, onto a new computer in the event of a hardware upgrade, onto the same computer that may have to be re-configured because of viruses etc.

Please note that each time the software is installed, the Registered Licence Owner must request a new REGISTRATION CODE from Digisport before the expiry of the 21 day pre-registration period. This request MUST be made each time, for each permitted registration, USING THE PROCESS BUILT INTO THE PROGRAM.

After 12 months from the date of the FIRST REGISTRATION, additional single registration codes may be purchased. The cost of each additional Registration Code (One New Installation per code) is AUD$36.00 (+ GST if applicable).

If interested, please click the link below.

NB. To receive the Registration code you must then go through the registration process built into the program after installing the software.

Q15: I am at a school (or other institution) and want to let others install and use my registered copy of your Digisport software. Is this possible?
A: The REGISTERED USER of any Digisport product is entitled to receive 3 Registration codes and perform 3 installations on single or multiple computers. The security system cannot stop someone from installing the software on 3 computers used by 3 different people so as to effectively become a 3 USER LICENSE. Many organisations in fact do this and we have no control over this. However, where does it stop. If there was not a limit to the number of registration codes provided (and hence installations), Digisport software could be installed over and over again and of course we would simply be out of business and there would not be any Digisport products.

In answer to your question then, others may install your registered software on their computers but in each case the program will continue to shut down until registered. Registration codes will be provided corresponding to the YOUR Serial number and each registration recorded as one of YOUR 3 allowable registrations. By allowing others to install YOUR software you are losing your own entitlements to further registrations. Further registrations may in fact be purchased from Digisport after 12 months from the date of the initial registration. Additional registration cost AUD$36.00 + GST where applicable.

To purchase an additional registration Code click on the link below.

http://digisport.com.au/shop/index.php?cPath=28

NB. To receive the Registration code you must then go through the registration process built into the program after installing the software.

Q16: I have a fairly new Mac and am using OSX. When I double click the installer icon for OSX on the START CD nothing happens. Please help!
A: Even though you have been provided with a OS9 (Classic) and OSX version of your digi product, unfortunately the program that is currently being used to install the resource is an OS9 based installer.  In other words you need the OS9 operating system on your Mac to install the OSX version of the software on your hard drive.

Solution.

You may very well have OS9 already on you computer and if you have it is only a matter of going to the System Preferences (apple menu), clicking on 'CLASSIC' and then when the information box appears, turn OS9 ON.

If OS9 is not installed on your Mac (very handy to have it there by the way because unless you only ever use OSX based software you may need it on occasions - like this!) you can install OS9 from the Software Install disk that came with your computer.

Once you have the OS9 operating system installed, use the Diginetball Start CD to install your program.

If you have any difficulties, call Digisport on +61 7 33665006 or email: barryh@digisport.com.au

Q17: I purchased DigiCricket-Complete Series a couple of years ago and have noticed that the version that a friend of mine has appears to be different. Has there been an upgrade?
A: Check to see if your DigiCricket serial number has either of the following formats:

DC02-3219-7348

DCCS-18549223 (Not DCCSS-....... which has an extra "S" and which is the format for all NEW serial numbers)

If so, this is the scenario.

Since you purchased DigiCricket there has been an update in the program and ALSO in the registration process which was formerly handled by a contracted company called Urban Software.

If you want the latest version of Digicricket-Complete series which features improved layouts, and some fixes to navigation, contact Digisport directly by email.  Please provide the Serial Number of your original product. Cost of the "upgrade" is AUD$40.00 + postage (+GST for Australian purchasers). A new START (Installer) disk only will be posted as the movie disks have not changed.

Q18: I entered my registration number incorrectly 3 times and have now been shut out. Where do I go from here?
A: 1 De-install the program and then re-install it from your START (Installer) CD

2 Go through the registration REQUEST process again by clicking the "GET REGISTRATION" button and sending off a NEW request either by fax or email.

3 Wait 24 hours, make sure you are connected to the web and then enter the same registration code you were given making sure it is done carefully and accurately this time.

Q20: I am having trouble installing DigiBEACH on my PC.† I am using Windows XP and after loading the Installer disk nothing happens when I click on the "BCH Win Install Folder"

A: Not really sure why this happens and it only seems to happen with XP and it only seems to happen with the Digibeach Installer - sometimes!  However there is a solution.

1  In the menu above where the folders appear on screen when you open the Installer CD you will see "Folders".  Click to open

2  On the side menu you will now see the icon for the Installer CD.  Click the installer icon

3  The submenu under the installer icon again displays the same folders that you had before (and can still see on your screen).  In the submenu click "BCH Win Install Folder".  Now you will see the Digibeach Setup file.  Double click this file and follow the instructions to install Digibeach.

Q21:  When trying to open my Digsport program a message appears telling me that a file is "corrupt" and that I need to go through the "recovery' process. How do I do this?

A: If a file has become corrupted it is usually as a result of a crash while the program is running or perhaps having to force quit the program after a freeze.  In any case this is how you fix the "corrupted" file.

Windows

Go to and open the the Digisport program folder in the Programs Folder on your C drive and press Ctrl + Shift while double clicking the file that has been corrupted.  Hold the keys down until you see the Recover File Dialogue Box (it may be hidden behind the window showing the files in the program folder.... if so simply close the program folder window)  From there follow the instructions on how to recover the damaged file.

Mac

Go to and open the the Digisport program folder on your hard drive and press Option + Command while double clicking the file that has been corrupted.  Hold the keys down until you see the Recover File Dialogue Box (it may be hidden behind the window showing the files in the program folder.... if so simply close the program folder window)  From there follow the instructions on how to recover the damaged file.

During recovery the program will :

*  create a new file
*  rename any damaged file by adding the suffix  “Old” to the file name
*  give the repaired file the original name

You should now locate and delete the Old file from the digisport program folder.
